It is an internet catchphrase used for a humorous phase of embracing Chinese food, culture or everyday habits. The Dante video version puts a dramatic game character into ordinary situations with deadpan dialogue. Our explainer covers the phrase’s documented origin, its Fight Club connection and creator references.
Read the meme’s meaning and origin →Very Chinese Time is an independent, fan-made AI video generator for Dante-inspired ‘very Chinese time’ meme cutscenes. You edit a scene and dialogue prompt, choose supported settings and generate a new video with audio. It is not affiliated with Capcom or the original meme creators.
Follow the creation walkthrough →No. The studio supplies the character reference image. You can start from a hot water, mahjong or slippers example and edit its prompt. The current meme workflow does not require your own photo, a reference clip or a voice recording.

Describe one setting, a clear character action, a camera direction and the exact dialogue. Keep the scene instructions separate from the spoken words. Read the dialogue aloud and choose a duration that leaves time for pauses and reactions. A long script may not fit a short clip.
Use the original prompt ideas →Standard supports 3–15 seconds. Pro supports 2–30 seconds. You choose the duration in the studio controls; the default is 5 seconds. A duration written inside the prompt does not override that control.
Choose settings for your script →The default resolution is 480p. Standard offers 480p; Pro offers 480p and 720p. Pro’s 720p option requires more credits than 480p at the same duration. Higher resolution does not guarantee better dialogue, lip sync or character consistency.
Compare generation quotes →Completed videos include generated audio and an MP4 download. Choose 9:16 portrait or 16:9 landscape before generation. Watch the result with sound before sharing: voices, wording, lip sync and animation can vary. Completed videos are available in My Creations.
Open My Creations →No. Each result is a new AI interpretation of the supplied character and your prompt. The app does not promise an exact reconstruction of a creator’s motion, voice, timing or scene. The embedded TikTok clips are creator references, not outputs from this app or endorsements of it.

Eligible new accounts receive a one-time 100-credit welcome allowance, subject to signup abuse checks. Free accounts can use Standard at 480p, subject to sufficient available credits. Free credits alone do not unlock Pro.
Try the studio →The current default selection, Standard · 5s · 480p, costs 81 credits. Cost varies with edition, duration and resolution; the studio shows the quote before you generate. There is no fixed cost that applies to every clip. The backend checks your available balance before generation.
Calculate the cost for your settings →Yes. A successfully fulfilled paid credit pack qualifies for Pro access; a subscription is not required. The current one-time pack is $9.90 for 990 credits, valid for 3 calendar months. You still need enough unexpired credits for each generation. A refunded or revoked purchase does not qualify for access.
View credit packs and plans →Starter costs $19.90 per month for 1,990 monthly credits. Pro costs $39.90 per month for 5,970 monthly credits. Annual billing is $143.28 for Starter or $287.28 for Pro, with the same monthly credit allowance. Annual credits are released in monthly windows, not all at once. Displayed prices are USD before applicable tax.

Failed or safety-blocked generations return the reserved credits under the credit policy. This is separate from a refund to your payment method, and returned credits remain subject to their original expiration and any purchase revocation. A completed video that you dislike is not automatically a failed generation.
Read credit restoration and refund terms →Generation time varies with demand and processing; we do not promise a fixed completion time. Keep the studio open to check progress, or return in the same browser and account to resume checking the current job. Completed videos appear in My Creations. Avoid submitting the same idea again just because the first job is still processing.
Check My Creations →Email links are single-use and expire after 15 minutes. Request a new link if yours expired or was already used. New emails open a confirmation page: click Sign in there to finish. This extra step prevents ordinary email link previews from using the token before you do. If you refresh the confirmation page before continuing, reopen the full link from your email.
Request a fresh sign-in link →No. Paying for generation does not grant a license to third-party characters, music, trademarks or other protected material. Very Chinese Time is a fan-made service. Review your output and obtain any permissions you need before sharing or using it; our Terms explain the limits of the service.
Read the Terms of Service →Use Feedback or report beside a completed video in the studio or My Creations. Signed-in reports are stored with the generation and review status. For another person’s video, or without an account, email [email protected] with a video URL or generation ID and a short description of the issue.
